For many people, the kitchen is the heart of the home, filled with love and delicious food. While the kitchen brings the family closer, it also brings other things. Pests, including ants, cockroaches, and house flies, can all be found in the kitchen. However, we have effective ways to help you eliminate the issue:
Always clean up your kitchen
The more cluttered and messy your kitchen is, the more hiding spots there are for unwanted bugs. Start your kitchen clean-up by ridding the space of all clutter, washing dirty dishes, cleaning off the countertops, and scrubbing the sink. Make sure to clean cabinets by focusing on the hard-to-reach corners.

Use salt to remove bugs
Bugs like ants and Cockroaches are attracted to sweet things. Next time, use salt to help get rid of the persistent bugs. Bugs such as ants are turned off by the smell and taste of salt. Try to dissolve some salt in water and spray it on surfaces and corners of the kitchen that are likely to attract these insects.
Keep your kitchen bin always clean
It might be a small treat, but keeping your kitchen bin clean is mandatory. A clean kitchen needs to be accompanied by a clean bin. To keep the dustbin bug-free, try keeping it covered, changing its bag daily, and washing it regularly.
Using peppermint as an insect killer
Peppermint is an excellent alternative to the harsh chemicals used as pest repellents. A peppermint solution has natural compounds that are good and safe for you and your family. The insect’s smell receptors pick up on the peppermint solution and are repelled effectively.

Use the above steps to make sure your kitchen is always kept clean. A clean kitchen is vital in any home. Bugs can be a problem, but they can be maintained.
