Marvels of Mzansi Unleashed: Durban July 2025 fashion highlights

The Durban July is one of South Africa’s most iconic events. It is a celebration of horse racing, fashion, and culture that draws in A-list celebrities and style enthusiasts alike.

This year’s event was no exception, with attendees turning out in force to showcase their unique interpretations of the theme, Marvels of Mzansi. The theme was chosen to celebrate the beauty and diversity of South Africa, showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant wildlife.

As the sun-kissed crowds gathered at the iconic Greyville Racecourse, the air was electric with excitement. Public figures such as Somizi Mhlongo, Cyan Boujee, and Phupho Gumede were among the many attendees who brought the theme to life with their stunning outfits.

Somizi, known for his bold fashion choices, rocked a vibrant ensemble that perfectly captured the essence of the theme.

Cyan Boujee, meanwhile, brought her signature glamour to the event. She looked stunning in a custom design that highlighted her curves and style.

Phupho, too, made a statement with his elegant ensemble, which showcased poise and sophistication.

Other celebrities, such as Zakes Bantwini, also turned heads with their outfits. The Osama hitmaker’s bold and colourful ensemble was a perfect reflection of the theme’s emphasis on South Africa’s vibrant culture.

The event was filled with A-listers, each trying to outdo the other with their fashion choices. The racing track became a catwalk, with attendees showcasing their unique interpretations of the theme. From vibrant prints to intricate accessories, each outfit told a story of South African style and creativity.

As the day went on, the excitement only grew, with attendees cheering on their favorite horses and enjoying the lively atmosphere. Undoubtedly, the event was a testament to the country’s rich cultural heritage and its people’s flair for fashion.

With its perfect blend of glamour, style, and fun, the 2025 Durban July was an unforgettable experience for all who attended. The Marvels of Mzansi theme was a resounding success, showcasing the best of South African fashion and culture to a global audience.
