Dj Maphorisa clears air about MacG

by Silindokuhle Booi

DJ Maphorisa, a talented music producer and DJ, has addressed rumours about his relationship with MacG, the co-host of Podcast and Chill.

The two have a complicated past, having had disagreements and public feuds. However, Maphorisa has now clarified his stance on MacG.

The two have had a complicated history, with MacG born Macgyver Mukwevho previously labelling Maphorisa a “gatekeeper” and Maphorisa siding with Lawd Phori during exploitation allegations.

In a recent Instagram Live session, Maphorisa set the record straight, stating that he has no problem with MacG personally, but rather with the way MacG conducts his podcast. Maphorisa emphasised that it’s dangerous to be a guest on MacG’s podcast because one’s words can get twisted.

A social media user, @Mo_D1d, shared a snippet of Maphorisa’s thoughts on MacG on X (previously Twitter), captioning it “So sharp Phori doesn’t have a problem with MacG.” The video sparked a reaction from netizens, with some applauding Maphorisa for being honest and others highlighting that the video shows a softer side to his personality.

Some users felt that Maphorisa’s warning about MacG was valid, given the podcast’s track record of exposing guests.

Others praised Maphorisa for setting the record straight and clearing up any speculation about their relationship.

The drama between Maphorisa and MacG has been a topic of discussion among fans, with many eager to see how the situation would unfold. Maphorisa’s statement has brought clarity to the situation, and fans are now left to ponder the implications of his words.
