Musician and actor, Anga Makhubalo popularly known as Naak Musiq will partake in a second celebrity boxing match, following his win against Cassper Nyovest.

The highly anticipated Lehlohonolo Ledwaba Memorial boxing match between Naak Musiq and businessman, Phumlani Njilo will take place in July 26, at Emperors Palace, Kempton Park. Other celebrities who will be taking part are actor, Abdul Khoza and musician Chad Da Don.

TshisaLive reported that at the press conference hosted by TLB Boxing Promotions, the tournament promoter Joyce Kungwane said : “This year’s event not only celebrates the legacy of Ledwaba but also continues to bridge sport, entertainment and community upliftment. The match is a tribute to the late Lehlohonolo Ledwaba for his contribution to the sport and its stakeholders. We’re excited about this upcoming boxing match and what it represents.”

While Naak Musiq said: “People could see I was a bit unfit in the Cassper fight because it was my first time in the ring. Now, I understand the sport better. I have more time to train, and I’m going to give you guys the best fight. Not taking anything away from my opponent — but I’ll be ready to throw those punches.”

According to Sunday World, Phumlani defeated heavyweight Big Zulu twice. Last year, he also knocked out Skeem Saam actor Pholoso Mohlala in the second round in Durban.

The publication also reported that there will also be a legends fight between retired fighters Malcolm Klaasen and Mzonke Fana. And other fights from local professionals will include:

SA junior welterweight title 12 Rounds: Aphiwe Mboyiya (Champ) VS Sibuso Zingange (Challenger)

Jnr lightweight 8 Rounds: Lucky Monyebane (NW) VS Sandile Dumisa (KZN)

Flyweight 8 Rounds: Zolile Miya (GP) VS Njabulo Buthelezi (KZN)
