Media personality, Refilwe Modiselle, adds author under her belt, with the release of her first book titled Zizi’s World: Through Her Vanilla Eyes.

Published with Lingua Franca Publishers, her book takes the readers through the world of Zizi, a girl who lives with albinism. Inspired by her life growing up, Refilwe teaches children to embrace difference, albinism, bullying, self-love, respect, unity, diversity, and inclusion.

The award-winning actress took to her Instagram page to share a bit about her book. In her poignant post, she revealed that a lot of people would ask her when she would write a book, and this has always been a dream of hers.

“Children have always held a sacred place in my heart, and I’ve also always felt like if I had a book to read that had representation for people like me, the world would be a lot more kinder in grooming kids, with more emotional intelligence and teach people to be better human beings,” she penned.

Refilwe, who also lives with albinism, shared that she wishes her book would fuel education and a culture of reading.
