Singer, Zintle Kwaaiman announced that she will take a step back from Facebook, and let her management team handle her page to take care of her mental health.

In a statement she issued on her Instagram page, she stated that the decision to log off from Facebook was from a personal reflection. Citing that this is an era she dedicates on finding peace and focus on her well-being.

“Moving forward, my management team will be overseeing my accounts and providing updates on my behalf. For those who wish to stay updated on my journey, please follow ‘Zintle Kwaaiman updates’ for future announcements,” said Zintle.

The Sabela singer mentioned that she believes that this shift will allow her space and energy to do things that brings her joy. She also assured her supporters that she will be active on TikTok and Instagram.

Even though Zintle did not shed much light on the reasons behind stepping back from Facebook, this decision came shortly after she had an altercation with content creator, Mandisi Tshingana. This is after Mandisi joked about Zintle passing away. The feud started with U Bizza Wethu’s now deleted post, where he insinuated that a Gqom artist died. Mandisi’s response brought the internet into a frenzy, as some were justifying the statement citing that Mandisi was simply acknowledging that the Imithandazo singer is a Gqom icon, while some were saying that Mandisi should apologise.

Some Facebook users said Zintle hosted a live from her Facebook page addressing the matter, and she broke into tears.
