Graduate attends groove in graduation regalia

Where else can one rock their hard earned graduation gown and cap besides at a graduation ceremony, graduation party or any other special occasion that involves celebrating graduates?

No one would have thought that one could don their graduation cap and attend groove that has nothing to do with graduates, but rather to celebrate themselves for completing their studies. As it has been seen on the social media platforms, some graduates jokingly wear their graduation gowns when it’s cold and say they cannot be cold when they have a new gown in the wardrobe. While some, dress up in their graduation regalia and just sit at home because they can.

As the autumn graduation season is upon us with most students reaping what they have sown, recently a TikTok user with the username @Congolose 1053 took to his TikTok page to share a clip of a man walking inside a packed grooving spot, wearing a graduation cap, while some of the people at the spot kept glancing at him. He captioned his clip: ” Yeah neh, the pressure is expanding.”

Intrigued by this move, TikTok users took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

Inspired by this act, one user said: “Yabona la South Africa sizofunda ngenkani ke manje (In South Africa we will go to universities by force).”

Commending the graduate, another user said: “This should be a trend.”

While another one said: “As he should, kunzima kabi phela ukfunda (It’s hard to learn).”
