Grief is a rollercoaster: Babes Wodumo shares sad moment of Mampintsha’s death

In a heart-wrenching episode of her new reality series, Wena Wodumo, singer Babes Wodumo (born as Bongekile Simelane) bravely shared a devastating personal experience that left her overcome with emotion.

The clip, which was shared on Twitter, shows Wodumo and her family members recounting the tragic events surrounding the loss of a loved one.

As Babes struggled to hold back tears, she recounted the events of that fateful day. She explained that she had been at the hospital with her loved one, keeping vigil from 6 am to 6 pm.

She remembered a poignant moment when she covered herself with a blanket, looked over at him, and waved. He waved back, and she thought everything would be okay.

Tragically, that moment of hope was short-lived. Babes revealed that she had left her loved one’s side to take a bath, and during that brief time, he passed away.

The pain and grief of that moment were still palpable as Wodumo shared her story, and she was eventually overcome with sadness, bending down to cry.

The emotional clip has resonated with fans and viewers, who have taken to social media to offer their condolences and support to Wodumo and her family.

The singer’s bravery in sharing her story has been praised, and the episode has sparked important conversations about grief, loss, and the importance of human connection.

Mampintsha, whose real name is Mandla Maphumulo, was a renowned gqom musician and husband to Babes Wodumo. Sadly, he passed away in 2022 at the age of 40.

Prior to his death, Mampintsha had been dealing with severe health complications and was hospitalised after suffering a minor stroke. Although a stroke was mentioned as the reason for his hospital admission, an official cause of death has not been established.

Mampintsha was a talented artist who rose to fame as part of the musical group Big Nuz. He is survived by his wife, Babes Wodumo, and their child, affectionately known as Sponge.
