Mzansi Magic’s Uthando Ne’sthembu has had mzansi glued to their screens since its inception as the viewers took an interest in learning the dynamics of a polygamous marriage.

From the first season of the ‘realnovela’, the Mseleku’s presented a united front, a big happy family that lived in harmony and peace. The show took an unexpected turn with each season, as the cookie crumbled in front of the viewer’s eyes.

Recently, the last wife of Musa Mseleku, Mbali ‘MaNgwabe’ Mseleku, has been hinting that she is leaving her husband. This was first seen when Musa announced that he was on the lookout for a fifth wife, leading to her saying that if he married again, she would leave.

At the start of the current season, Musa introduced Samkelisiwe Khwela as number five, he also asked all four of his wives to come together and watch as he met Samke. During his diaries in the show, he was heard by the wives saying MaNgwabe’s house is close to the gate, implying that it will be easier for her to leave.

In the latest episode, MaNgwabe took her daughters out on a spa date, where she had a chat with her eldest daughter, Mawande, seemingly preparing her for her move from the family homestead in Mzumbe.

X (formerly Twitter) users weighed in.

#Uthandonesthembu Does Mseleku see the repercussions of his actions&words?I’m glad Mawande is seeing things for how they are his dad won’t poison her against her mom for leaving. I’m happy for MaNgwabe teaching her daughters to not bekezela emotional abuse from a man pic.twitter.com/TZN9IJb0XV
