Former ‘Skeem Saam’ actress Pebetsi Matlaila recently shared heartfelt messages of gratitude on Instagram, expressing her appreciation for donations of cash, a laptop, and financial support from her followers.

On Thursday, the actress and radio host posted a message in her Instagram story: “Words cannot begin to explain how grateful I am for the love, the gifts (Laptop to do online work and sponsors to print more books), and the financial help offered by some of you.

“I won’t mention names because I was asked to keep them anonymous. But please know that no matter how little or big the Ewallet, Cash sends where, they helped more than you can imagine.

“Obviously I will be saving that which I can use to contribute to our new home soon. Lastly, I will be going on a sabbatical (fast in Thanksgiving). Which means I will be offline for some time. But those who have my numbers know where to find me.”

Pebetsi also expressed gratitude for another unexpected gesture: “I don’t know who did this. But I just got an sms from a toll-free number.

“With an Ackermans voucher for children’s clothes. I am assuming it is for Qhawe since she is going to school now. Whoever you are? GOD BLESS YOU ??”

In a later update, she clarified her decision to turn down podcast invitations, explaining that she felt she had already shared her story and preferred not to elaborate further.

Pebetsi expressed her thanks to everyone who respected her choice.

Previously, the actress had opened up about facing financial challenges, including being unable to pay rent and eventually being evicted.

She assured fans that she and her children are now living at a woman and children’s safety house where they feel secure and cared for.

TshisaLive reported that Pebetsi said she had managed to secure some work opportunities, but the income was not sufficient to meet her needs.
