The guide to attaining smooth legs

Dry, prickly, and itchy legs? Sounds like winter is on its way. Ditch the expensive creams—soft skin thrives on coffee scrubs, lazy-day hacks (Netflix + moisturiser), and quick shaving hacks. Here are 10 soft legs hacks to make use of in the drier months:

1. DIY coffee scrub

Mix ½ cup coffee grounds (exfoliates) + ¼ cup coconut oil (moisturises) + 1 tbsp honey (antibacterial). Massage onto damp legs for 3–5 minutes, then rinse.

2. Try a dry brush

Use a natural bristle brush before showering. Start at your ankles, brush upward in circular motions to boost circulation and slough off flakes.

3. The soak & seal trick

After showering, pat legs damp (not dry) and immediately slather on a thick cream to lock in hydration. If it’s cold, cover it with long socks to lock in moisture for longer.

4. Hyaluronic acid boost

Layer a hyaluronic acid serum under your lotion for 2x the plumpness.

5. The 60-second rule

After washing up in the shower, blast legs with cool water for 1 minute to tighten pores and seal moisture.

6. Oatmeal bath soak

Blend 1 cup of oats into a powder, add to warm bathwater, and soak for 15 minutes to soothe dryness not only on legs but all over!

7. Nightly ritual

Keep lotion on your nightstand—apply while binge-watching your favourite show…

8. 5-minute soft leg routine

  1. Dry brush legs pre-shower.
  2. Shave with conditioner + sharp razor.
  3. Apply hyaluronic acid serum on damp skin.
  4. Seal with shea butter.
  5. Finish with 1 drop of rosehip oil for glow.
