The million-dollar question among Big Brother Mzansi viewers in South Africa is who will emerge a winner of the fifth season themed umlilo on Sunday.
With the season coming to an end, the anticipation grows higher for each fanbase, the top five finalists still vying for the grand prize of R2 million are Fortunate ‘Nate’ Setwaba, Nsuku Mabunda, Akhonamathemba ‘Sweet Guluva’ Mbele, Karabo ‘Jojo’ Sejojo and Uyanda Hlangabezo.
Different fanbases are at war as each fights for their own to be crowned a winner. However, the most loud and visible fanbases on the social media platforms are Honey Badgers rallying for Uyanda and SweetAshes for Sweet Guluva with some of the viewers dubbing Sweet Guluva and Uyanda the top two.
Some of the strategies shared on social media by these two fanbases include visiting schools and assisting people to vote, door-to-door campaigns, collecting numerous sim cards to be able to vote multiple times, and the infamous one is commenting vote so and so on every post that is likely to attract many people.
The Luminators, Jojo warriors or Jojo tanks and the Golden Nation are seemingly working in silence, unlike the two fanbases who turn to rivals at times.
The Honey Badgers and SweetAshes fanbases seem to have attracted support and engagement from prominent figures such as DJ Zinhle, Cici, and Zintle Kwaaiman among others, leaving mzansi wondering who will win the prize, as the fanbases are equally hard at work and campaigning for votes. The curiosity and fear of missing out had radio and TV presenter, Anele Mdoda asking how she can vote for Uyanda.
