In an unexpected twist that has fans buzzing, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi was spotted behind the counter at Nice to Matcha, serving up a healthy dose of matcha to unsuspecting customers, Cape {town} Etc reports.

The iconic rugby star, known for his leadership on the field, swapped his jersey for an apron to lend a hand at the trendy Cape Town café.

The moment, captured on video, shows Siya enthusiastically greeting patrons, with the same energy he brings to the rugby pitch. But when one curious customer asked, “Is this your side hustle?” Siya, ever the humble champion, responded with a grin, “I’m just supporting my friend.”

While fans are used to seeing Siya break tackles, today, he was breaking the monotony of the café scene—whisking up matcha lattes and showing a different side to the man who has led South Africa to World Cup glory.

The video quickly went viral, with fans applauding Siya for not only his athleticism but his willingness to support local businesses with a dose of personality. Maybe matcha is the real secret to his winning attitude? Or perhaps, just maybe, he’s considering a post-rugby career in the tea business?

Only time will tell, but for now, we’re all raising our cups to Siya.

Meanwhile, Siya took to his Instagram page to share pictures of him alongside his siblings, Liyema and Liphelo enjoying their matcha tea.
