Controversial British-American influencer Andrew Tate faced major backlash after a post on X, formerly Twitter, about South African women.

The self-proclaimed misogynist wrote: “Never trust South African women.” While it’s unclear what sparked this unprovoked remark, netizens didn’t hold back in their responses, flooding his post with criticism.

The post quickly went viral, racking up 4 million views.

When @Shadaya_Knight replied, “You just know it’s one of these women Tate bumped into,” along with a collage featuring South African celebrities Faith Nketsi, Minnie Dlamini, Cyan Boujee, and Mihlali Ndamase, Tate responded with four laughing-face emojis, seemingly brushing off the backlash.

However, South Africans were not amused. Outspoken musician The Kiffness, real name David Scott, fired back with a blunt “Voetsek.”

Meanwhile, Tate and his brother, Tristan, remain embroiled in legal troubles. They still face allegations of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organised criminal group in Romania.

Despite recently being permitted to leave Romania after a travel ban was lifted, they remain under judicial control.

The two are currently in Florida, USA, but must return to Romania for court appearances as their trial, which began in 2022, continues.
