Does peace prevail after Somizi and Man B’s Instagram Live chat?

Media personality Somizi Mhlongo and Eastern Cape businessman Mabjessie ‘Man B’ recently went head-to-head in a heated Instagram Live session to address the viral social media exchange that sparked public debate.

The incident, which involved accusations from both sides, became a major topic of conversation online. With numerous commentators offering their opinions on who was wrong, Somizi and Man B decided to confront each other directly, albeit virtually.

During the live session, Somizi attempted to get Man B to apologise for his claims, but the businessman remained firm in his stance.

The disagreement began when Man B Entertainment accused Somizi of not fulfilling his commitments after booking him through the middleman Sgwili.

Man B claimed that they were promised the attendance of Minister Gayton Mackenzie, but Somizi allegedly failed to deliver, promoted another event on the same day, and requested last-minute flight changes.

The entertainment company also alleged that Somizi caused chaos at the event by telling the current act to leave the stage and failed to perform his promotional duties despite receiving full payment.

Somizi, however, took to social media to share his side of the story. He acknowledged that his flights were covered but pointed out that Man B failed to adequately arrange transport and accommodation.

He also clarified that any promotional duties would have required an extra fee, which he said Man B never paid.

Despite the tension, Man B Entertainment remained focused on future community events, committed to learning from the experience and continuing to create opportunities.
