It seems like Royal AM Football Club’s squabbles with South African Revenue Services (SARS) have led to the worst season they have had in the league.

This is after their feud led to a domino effect for the team, causing them to lack funds to pay their staff members and players, to later being removed from the Nedbank Cup and now the sale of the club.

It has recently been confirmed that the KwaZulu-Natal Club will be auctioned, and the invitation to the interested bidders has been sent on social media platforms.

According to the invitation shared by MDN News on X (formerly Twitter), interested bidders are expected to submit their offers to the email address provided. A refundable deposit of R1 million must be paid into the trust account of the guardian of the property’s legal representatives.

The interested bidders are also expected to prove that they can meet the financial commitments along with the required Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2000 (FICA) documentation. The deadline for submissions is on Friday, the 14th of March at 13h00.

Royal AM is going up for auction next week, and if you have R1 million, you can register to bid!

This could be a great opportunity, especially for those in Bloemfontein. pic.twitter.com/pMqGJaF4Uu

Guys, Let contribute R20 rather and get Black Twitter ownership of Royal AM. Let’s make history with @ChrisExcel102

I have a question: Once I’ve submitted a bid to buy RAM, will SARS not come after my club since it was previously owned by someone who owes SARS more than R40 million?

Sports fanatic, Joy Chauke who is popularly known as Mama Joy took to her X page to express her sadness, when the news of the sale of the team first broke on social media.

My Children knows where we come from and they know this is just 1 of the seoson ,,,, with them I don’t have any fear that maybe 1 day they will leave me ,,,, together forever ,,, life goes on guys ,,, but I still respect and love U Ma,,Thanks Mamkhize Thwihli pic.twitter.com/NrsjCIyi3J
