Khuli Chana excited to roll the carpet for new artists with exciting collabs

by Sergio Miller

After being mentored by the late rapper HHP during his early rise to fame, Khulane Morule popularly known as Khuli Chana, known for his hit song Take Care, is now determined to uplift and guide the next generation of talented artists.

He believes that the arts and rap scene are vast enough to embrace both established and emerging voices.

Renowned for making significant waves in the entertainment industry, Khuli Chana has consistently engaged audiences with his hit songs and has garnered numerous accolades, including the South African Music Awards (SAMAs), Metro FM Awards, and South African Hip Hop Awards.

Recently he found himself collaborating with the new generation of talent in the form of Blxckie and 25K to provide a soundtrack to a new KFC campaign.

Speaking about the experience Khuli had nothing but praise to give to the two. In an interview with the news and entertainment publication TshisaLive he highlighted how important it was that older artists co-sign those who are currently on the path to making their mark in the industry just as HHP had done for him.

“How I came into the industry, I was put on by HHP. I marvelled at his humility, creativity, and talent. Coming from that, all I know today was from that. So that’s what this project is about,” he said.

Meanwhile, he praised Blxckie and 25K for their contributions to music adding: “These guys are true to their authenticity. 25k being cut from the cloth of what I call New Tswako, which is inspired by Motswako. Blxckie, these people are embracing their home language in their music and I respect that.
