Lerato Kganyago details the experience of undergoing breast reduction surgery

by Sergio Miller

Just days after she and her husband celebrated their love with the purchasing of a Pretoria mall, actress and media personality Lerato Kganyago has opened up about her recent experience after undergoing a breast reduction procedure.

Gone are the days when one would go into a surgical ward without having a clear understanding of what the experience of being under the operating knife would be like. Thanks to the introduction of technology, this information is easily accessible. Additionally, the rise of social media has made it even simpler for others to share their journeys.

After years of suffering from back and neck pain as a result of having large breasts, Lerato Kganyago has recently had the privilege of lifting herself out of misery. This comes after the actress recently had an operation done to reduce the size of her breasts.

Taking to her Instagram story, she opened up about how the procedure went, highlighting that it was not the way she expected it to go.

“My reduction procedure was seamless and less painful than I expected,” she wrote.

“It lasted about two hours, focusing on reducing breast size without adding implants, as the goal was to decrease weight rather than increase it.”

Lerato highlighted that during the procedure, she did not feel any pain and that there was mild discomfort instead.

“I had two surgical drains for fluid removal, which were initially uncomfortable but improved significantly after their removal on the third day.

“Although I still have dressings, I find the procedure straightforward and quick to heal with proper precautions.”

She later thanked the medical team for the exemplary experience and promised to provide more updates as time progresses.
