Come to find out, Zanzou has been illegally operating as a night club all along

The Zanzou nightclub saga continues to rock the nation as more chilling details surface. In the latest update, it has been revealed that the establishment had been operating illegally as a nightclub.

Social media has been nothing short of chaotic since a former Zanzou employee by the name of Pablo Herve exposed the dark side of the nightclub world, particularly the heinous acts committed by the security detail at the Pretoria establishment. Pablo revealed to South Africa and the world the unfortunate fate that patrons who failed to settle their bill were subjected to, which included acts of sexual assault and torture.

To some users, the news did not come as a surprise as internet users have been coming to social media to share horrifying details about what they saw or experienced at the club for a few years. This debacle has uncovered more sinister truths about Zanzou, as eNCA reveals that the establishment has been operating illegally as a nightclub instead of a Category One business that it was zoned as.

According to the publication, this comes after the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Tshwane probed into whether or not the establishment complied with the city’s by-laws, digging an even deeper hole for the owners of the club.

Interestingly, it appears the club has no owners as all those who were believed to hold that role such as Stephane Cohen and Katlego Malatji have come out to publicly distance themselves from the matter, citing that they have no affiliations with Zanzou.

Citizens have expressed deep dissatisfaction with the DA’s lack of good governance concerning matters such as this. These users believe that if the DA had taken a more proactive role, then this matter would have been uncovered long before this as they have been in charge for some time now.

DA has been in control of the Tshwane Municiplaity since 2016.

Why are they coming out now to announce that Zanzou was operating illegally???

They didn’t do a damn thing to raid the facility for compliance, or any others like it in 8 years!

These users have also expressed the need for the government and the police to investigate other establishments like Zanzou as they believe that the dark underworld of nightclub life is rather a well-oiled network that poses a danger to citizens, particularly young and vulnerable students as many are strategically located at student-heavy areas.

It’s time they investigate all the clubs including that one of Kabza …. pic.twitter.com/ciPDct3Uzt
