Smash Afrika takes over as Big Brother Mzansi presenter

Media personality Afrika Mdutyulwa, well-known as Smash Afrika has been announced as the new presenter of the highly anticipated Mzansi Magic reality show, Big Brother Mzansi.

Smash Africa who takes over from the fan-favourite TV presenter and actor, Lawrence Maleka will join the show on season 5, which is set to air in 2025.

“With his vibrant personality and undeniable charisma, Smash is set to breathe new life into the show and take Big Brother fans on a thrilling ride,” read the channel’s statement.

Big Brother Mzansi took to their X (formerly Twitter) page to share the news, captioning their post: “Serving oomph, smashing the skill to spill. With our new host Smash Afrika on standby to assess chaos and kiki with the new faves. Season 5 is officially activated for 2025.”

“I’m beyond grateful and honestly speechless because this opportunity was always meant to be. Looking back at my journey in radio and TV, it feels like everything I have done has been leading to this moment. I may not have shouted it from the rooftops or had it on a vision board, but deep down, I knew something big was coming,” said Smash Afrika in a statement.
