‘Gone to soon’ – remembering our fallen celebrities

by Nomonde Simelane
Picture: Instagram

Although it is quite literally one of the only things that are guaranteed in life, death is and has always been a difficult thing to come to terms with and unfortunately, it is a reality we all have to face at some point.

We often forget that this fate also applies to even our favourite celebrities, and that is caused by the pedestal we usually put these individuals on that makes us forget about their humanity. Every year, we lose several celebrities and this year was no different as it saw the passing of a significant amount of prominent names, both young and old.

We remember the people who although we did not know personally, left a mark on countless hearts and lives through the work they did while they were still alive. Although they are no longer with us, their impact will live long after they have left.
