Proverb takes the stage as Miss World SA 2024 host

The countdown to Miss World South Africa 2024 just got even more exciting, with the announcement of Proverb whose real name is Tebogo Thekiso, as the official host for this year’s event as he is known for his elegance, charisma and exceptional live broadcasting skills.

The announcement came via the Miss World South Africa Instagram page, where the organisation praised Proverb’s impressive broadcasting style.

Proverb has been a prominent figure in South African media for over a decade. He is known for his roles on both radio and TV, including as the host of Idols SA.

According to News24, his versatility and expertise have been recognised in the past, with him winning the Favourite TV Presenter award at the 2017 You Spectacular Awards.

Proverb’s hosting prowess was recently showcased when he co-hosted the Metro FM Music Awards alongside Luthando ‘Lootlove’ Sosha as reported by The Citizen.

Proverb’s hosting skills were recently showcased at the LvA Fundraiser Gala Dinner held a few days ago with GBV victims and survivors, where he served as a host.

This talented media personality has been open about his personal struggles, including a deeply challenging period in 2015. In his tell-all memoir, The Book of Proverb, he revealed harrowing details of his deep depression, where he attempted suicide following his split from his wife as reported by TshisaLIVE.

Despite these struggles, Proverb has continued to advance in his professional and personal life. He has been vocal about his academic journey, striving to obtain his Master of Business Administration. He also celebrated his educational achievements on Instagram, sharing pictures of his progress and milestones.
