When thinking of a wedding, tranquillity and serenity are some of the first things that come to mind, this applies to the music, the decor and the overall feel of the event. A local couple, however, had other plans for their special day, as they had something unexpected planned for their guests.

X (formerly Twitter) user Siyabonga Kwanele and his new bride shared a moment that will probably last a lifetime in their memories during their matrimonial ceremony. At most traditional weddings, there comes a moment where the bride and groom share a moment and a dance in front of all their guests. The dance, usually a slow intimate moment shared by the couple is what is referred to as their first dance.

Siyabonga and his bride decided against the traditional slow, ballroom dance and opted for something a little bit more contemporary and energetic. The ecstatic couple shared their moment while Blxckie’s hit song Ye x 4 blasted in the background.

Taking to X, Siyabonga shared the moment with his followers, noting that there was no other option, he and his partner had to include this song on their special day as it holds great significance to both of them.

“Had to hit the wedding step to @Blxckie Ye x4. That’s our song,” he says.

After being tagged multiple times by supporters, the rapper responded to the heartfelt moment by the couple, expressing that he thought the moment was a beautiful one, thanking the couple for including him and his song on their special day.

lol this really one of the most beautiful things i’ve ever seen. thank you and congratulations bant’ abahle. ??? https://t.co/aRmkUTV6DV

This moment was a humbling one for the artist as Ye x4 was one of the songs that put the youngster on the map. It is through this collaboration with fellow Durbanite Nasty C that the masses were exposed to the unique talent that he has.

Furthermore, including such a song to such an event is evidence that societal norms are being challenged, it shows that people are starting to do things in the way that suits them, as opposed to following blindly.
