Born and raised in a rural area in Kwa-Zulu Natal called Hluhluwe, recording artist Lwandile Mtshali, more famously known as Lwah Ndlunkulu is living what those she grew up around can only consider a dream come true. Nkabi Nation’s first lady recently stunned in a new set of wheels to commemorate her success.

Lwah came onto the music scene by featuring on Big Zulu’s hit-single ‘Umuzi eSandton‘ after signing a record deal with Nkabi Records, which catapulted her career to what we see today. She and her sound have managed to thrive in a genre that is dominated by men, emerging as one of the artists to watch out for.

Despite countless adversity, Lwah persevered and worked hard to pursue her passion of music, which has paid off as the 24-year-old is a multi-award-winning artist. She took to Instagram to share the exciting news of her latest big girl purchase, a bright pink Mustang Roush with a personalised plate that reads ‘Lwah GP’.

“I’m always praying. Thank God for my Roush pipes,” she captions.

Lwah’s success story is inspiring, particularly for those who come from less fortunate backgrounds, which is a significant percentage of the South African population. She has worked extremely hard and has stayed true to herself and her roots, which is reflected in her style, as well as the type of music makes.

“People who know Lwah Ndlunkulu know her story. I came from nothing to where I am today, artist of the year. I just feel like it wasn’t easy but [through God] I was able to fight through it all and become what God had planned for me to be,” she told TrueLove.
