Sthembiso “Bujy” Bikwa is making a return to the public eye, with the launch of his exclusive matchmaking show, Single & Mingle.

According to DailySun, Azola Mlota known as the Love Doctor is partnering with the TV host and MC, Bujy, to host Single & Mingle, an exclusive matchmaking event which is scheduled for Wednesday 28 August at La Parada in North Riding, Joburg.

The event is designed solely for singles looking for love, with married individuals excluded. Azola expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting that Bujy’s involvement has made interest in speed dating events.

The news publication further states that Azola aims to pair 20 women with 20 men at the Single & Mingle event, through activities like karaoke, speed dating and games. He believes these activities will reveal the attendees’ personalities and that he hopes the event will successfully match people and have a positive impact.

This comeback is after a challenging period in 2021 when Bujy faced serious backlash, following accusations of assault by Boity Thulo.

Bujy was accused of assaulting Boity Thulo, leading to a public outcry and damage to his career. Although Bujy and Boity reconciled and she dropped the charges, Bujy faced significant career losses and had to downgrade his lifestyle.

In the Against the Wall Podcast – Danyane Diaries, Bujy opened up about cancel culture and its impact on celebrities, referencing his altercation with Boity.

Bujy explained that the controversy wasn’t about winning a legal battle; it was more about of winning social media, where public opinion often outweighs the law. Bujy also shared his personal experience of being arrested and spending time at Sun City prison, reflecting on how these events shaped the harsh realities of being a gay man in prison.
