Thobani Nzuza, a celebrated South African actor, director, playwright, vocalist and dancer continues to make powerful strides in the entertainment industry. Known for his roles in popular television serials such as eHostela, Uzalo, Isitha: The Enemy and Isipho Thobani is now expanding his craft with the publication of his second theatre play a work he wrote in 2014 while still in university.

Taking to Instagram Thobani announced that he decided to publish his second book and expressed his gratitude to @sphephelo_afezeka for their assistance in bringing the play to publication. And quoted in an email he received from, Professor Ravengai noted the play’s potential and found the play interesting.

According to the YouthVillage publication the award-winning playwright and storyteller in 2018, published his first book, Boy Ntulikazi, which focused on how personal challenges shape one’s worldview. The story follows Ntulikazi, whose troubled past has left him mentally unstable and exhibiting multiple character traits in a nearly schizophrenic manner.

In addition, TVSA reports that Thobani directed, performed in the play of his book Boy Ntulikazi, and later published the play. The production received several accolades, including Best Actor at the 2015 Isigcawu Festival, Best Actor and Best Production at the 2017 Baxter Zabalaza Theatre Festival, and Best Community Production at the South African Theatre Magazine Awards.
