Former Afternoon Expresso presenter Thabiso Makhubela is slowly getting back on his feet after a tumultuous few months filled with personal challenges.
Thabiso, who faced legal troubles following a brief stint behind bars earlier this year on charges related to theft, also parted ways with Afternoon Expresso, marking a difficult chapter in his life.
Last week, the award-winning TV personality took to social media to announce his return. In a heartfelt post, he shared: “Bathong boMeiskat! Happy Tuesday. I haven’t been here for some time, it took some time to clear my mind. I’m back now, please inbox if you’ve been trying to reach out.”
According to Zimoja, Thabiso voluntarily checked into a health facility in Gauteng to address personal issues, including anxiety and insomnia.
A source close to him revealed that the media star was deeply affected by his recent experiences but is now focused on positive change.
Thabiso, a talented media personality from Hammanskraal, first rose to fame with a cameo role on the SABC 1 TV show Society.
In 2018, he solidified his place in the spotlight by winning the third season of Presenter Search.
The same year, he was honoured as one of GQ magazine’s “10 Best Dressed Men of the Year.”
Known for his charisma, comedic flair, and impeccable dance moves, Makhubela quickly became a fan favourite on the lifestyle show Expresso where his energy and personality captivated viewers.
Now, he is embarking on a journey of recovery and renewal.
