Mzansi users seem to have started a new trend of requesting e-hailing services in Nigeria whilst in South Africa after Miss SA finalist Chidimma Adetshina left to compete in Miss Universe Nigeria.
The Miss SA finalist found herself a victim of cyberbullying when internet users rallied against her participation in the Miss SA competition. The Department of Home Affairs later revealed that she was not South African as her mother was involved in fraudulent activities to get herself a South African ID.
After she withdrew from the competition, Chidimma received an invite from the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant that she accepted and jetted off to the country.
Her absence in the country has since caused internet users to start a ‘prank’ by requesting e-hailing services such as Bolt and Ubers in Nigeria for large amounts of money and cancelling them when the driver arrives at the set destination.
Although it might seem like harmless fun to some people, many internet users felt that it would increase tension between South Africans and Nigerian drivers in the country given that most drivers originate from outside the country.
An X (formerly known as Twitter) user shared posts of South Africans requesting in Nigeria leading people to comment on the vile actions of those involved in this prank as fuel is expensive to be wasted for no reason.
TRENDING: South Africans have started a new trend, they have been requesting Bolt rides in Nigeria then Nigerian flathead Bolt drivers will go to the location where the ride was requested and find no one at the spot, this is a waste of their time and expensive petrol.

I don’t care who says what but requesting an Uber in Nigeria while you’re in SA is cruel. You then justify what Nigerians in SA are doing when it comes to drugs. My question is what did those Uber drivers in Nigeria do to u. Their economy is so bad yet you do such to a black man.
