Combating dry skin can be difficult for all individuals. A product rich in nutrients that will help achieve the desired skin is the ultimate satisfaction. Experts share the essential need-to-know benefits of using cocoa butter for your skin.

Alok Vij, a dermatologist, defines cocoa butter as the beans of the cacao plant, which grows in hot, tropical climates, and are processed to make cocoa butter.

“Cocoa butter is excellent for dry skin and chapped lips and it is high in several different fatty acids, which help hold in water to keep your skin from drying out but many cocoa butter products are specifically formulated for rashes and psoriasis, and you may find them helpful,” the dermatologist explains.

According to the health publication Healthline, it is safe to use cocoa butter creams when pregnant, according to their manufacturers. It may result in a rash or other allergic reaction in those who are sensitive to cocoa butter or other substances included in cocoa butter products.

Cocoa butter is frequently found as an ingredient in body creams and lotions. Some lip balms also include it as an ingredient since it’s edible. Vitamins and sunscreen are frequently added to cocoa butter products. As part of your daily skincare routine, you can use one of these cocoa butter products to your lips or skin, the health hub further adds.

Vaseline has a variety of cocoa butter products. Each offers skin that appears healthy, plump, and free of dryness with a deep, intensive-care shine, such as the Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy, Cocoa Glow Moisturising Body Cream, and Blue Seal Cocoa Butter Petroleum Jelly.
