5 Latest lipstick trends

Lipstick trends are ever-changing. Individual expression in fashion, beauty and culture is embraced through innovative ideas such as creative finishes, vibrant mixtures of colours, glossy textures, and rich berry tones.

Here are 5 latest lipstick trends to look out for:

The matte nude lipstick look

L’oreal Paris advises individuals not to be afraid of experimenting with different makeup looks, such as adding a dramatic brow, a bright blush to your cheeks, or a burst of colour to your eyes. Nude lipstick is a perfect base for almost any makeup style. Alternatively, you may use a “matte-sterpiece” eyeshadow, and finish the look with brown or brown-black mascara.

Matte red lipstick

Maybelline prides itself on its rich and silky superstar matte ink lipstick. The ideal red for all skin tones is this one. This ultra-matte, highly pigmented, blue-red, super-saturated liquid lipstick is kiss-proof and provides a beautiful highly pigmented red colour for up to 16 hours.

Ombre Lipstick

CharlotteTilbury states that lips appear larger and more realistic when two lip colours are used to create a stunning ombré effect. Try using a lighter lip liner in the centre of your lips after filling them in with a darker hue like brown or berry. By mixing the two, you will create a stunning gradient that draws attention to the shape of your lips and emphasizes your pout!

Fake a lip look

Revlon states that if you are not feeling fillers or botox, try their version of the most-liked hack. All you need is a few essential cosmetic items: translucent powder, lipstick, lip liner, and foundation or concealer.

Naturally plum no-makeup lips

The above-mentioned source suggests a no-fuss trend that keeps your pout wonderfully plump and rosy, whether you are at the gym or bossing it up at work. The idea is to overline your lips with a nude tint that complements your skin tone, to make it look like you’re wearing no makeup at all.
