Cape Town-based award-winning rapper and an all-round entertainer, Sinesipho Peter popularly known as Bravo Le Roux in the music scene sat down with BONA to discuss his fast-growing music career and upbringing.
Bravo who is fondly known as Ta Bravo on TikTok, recently unleashed a sound that took online users by storm and had mzansi participating in the ‘Haybo, Ishhuu’ dancing challenge.
Shared vastly on TikTok, the challenge had artists like Zintle Kwaaiman alongside TikTok sensationalists Avile and Aphiwe Kwankwa taking part.

This fan-favourite artist first joined the entertainment industry in 2019, and he made a name for himself in 2023 with the release of his debut album Igazi, Inyembezi Nombilo. In his album, Bravo featured award-winning artists such as Sjava and Ifani; and in his music career, he has featured artists like Dee Koala, Youngsta CPT and Yanga Chief.
In an exclusive interview with BONA, the Idini rapper said that moving around Cape Town and Eastern Cape shaped the music that he makes. “My music is inspired by ikasi (townships) and shaped by ibali lam namabali asekasi (my story and stories from the townships).”
Bravo shared with us that he was born in eQonce, Eastern Cape and moved to Site B, Khayelitsha at a very young age. “I moved around a lot, I moved to Khayelitsha when I was two years old. And at some point, I stayed with my aunt in Hout Bay. I also lived in Gqeberha before I moved to Kleinmond and did my high school years in Gansbaai and came back to Khayelitsha again.”
Bravo recently released a single titled War Cry, which he described as the victory hymn that calls for unity in humanity. “The sample on the song was intended to unite as it touches on family or DNA ties. As people, we need to be reminded about how great we can be if we unite, and sing these songs for the rest of the world,” he said.
