Amapiano producer Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, famously known as DJ Maphorisa has come out to apologise for swearing at rapper and podcaster L-Tido’s mother after he was unhappy with the rapper’s conversation with his rival Sir Trill, on the L-Tido podcast.

During the podcast recording, Sir Trill revealed that he had not been paid for songs he created with the Banyana hitmaker. This was not the first time Phori’s name had been linked with mistreating artists as he also revealed something that unsettled many artists, saying he keeps the masters for all songs created in his studio.

After seeing Sir Trill’s comments about non-payment on L-Tido’s podcast, Phori responded by refuting the claims.

In a now-deleted post on X, he shared that Sir Trill could not have been talking about him finishing off by swearing at the L’tido’s mother.

“Maybe he’s talking about another grootman, this young man needs help. I remember him not going to the music video ya De Mthuda John Wick, I knew we gonna have a problem here. Self-sabotage and karma from all the promoters u fucked not pitching those gigs. And F%CK L-Tido Nyamao (your mother’s pu#%y).”

In a post shared recently, DJ Maphorisa sent out an apology to L-Tido commenting, “I will take that L (looser) sorry for involving your mom’s bro @L_Tido. Mama Thato Ke kopa tswarelo (I ask for your forgiveness). I didn’t mean to disrespect you.”
