Bev Steyn’s race remark comes back to haunt her on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip

The latest episode of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip didn’t come without its fair share of drama. After all, we don’t expect anything less.

Things started when Nonku let her co-stars know how she felt about them. With the girls nearing the end of their Jamaica trip, the reality TV star put all her cards on the table.

In an attempt to clear the air, her words may have backfired and Nonku defended herself, saying: “I just want to end this night or this evening off on a beautiful note because I have come to know every one of you and I have become, I have a close or personal relationship with you now.”

But Noku’s revelations didn’t come close to Mel’s tea who revealed comments made by Bev about Liz on a previous episode.

“Bev three times said that she is so shocked… she cannot believe every time you go after a Black man,” said Mel while the ladies were at dinner.

“You are a white woman, but she forgets no you are less than white, you are coloured. She referred to the skin colour actually, she said white girls wouldn’t do that.”

Liz asked Mel what she meant by “white girls not doing that” to which she responded: “Go after Black men.”

When confronted by Liz, Bev tried to explain herself and said, “I said that I had to remind myself that you are coloured because I don’t see you as coloured, I see you as white.”

The confrontation kicked up a hornet’s nest on social media, with many calling out Bev for her racist remarks.
