Radio personality Sol Phenduka can thank his lucky stars for making out with barely a scratch after pictures of his wrangled car surfaced online.

According to The South African, the incident took place on Monday morning in Rosebank when he was reportedly on his way to Kaya 959 for his morning show.

The Podcast and Chill co-host quickly hopped on the TL to let fans know he was fine after the crash started trending online.

“Thanks for all the messages. I’m 100 % per cent okay. Just a swollen middle finger,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Sol’s manager also confirmed to the Daily Sun that he only suffered minor injuries. “He suffered minor injuries; other than that, he is fine, super well. Everyone is fine, man, only the cars are not,” he told the publication.

It didn’t take long for his colleagues in the industry to have a go at him. Influencer Lesedi even took the time to photoshop a Sol into a photo of former US president Donald Trump following an alleged assassination attempt on his life.

On the topic of his swollen finger, Sizwe Dhlomo joked: “Your fingers always look swollen, so you’re really fine. Lol!”
