The drama between reality TV stars has reached a dramatic turn, crossing over from The Real Housewives to Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip (RHUGT), and The Mommy Club. The latest controversy began when Melanie “Mel” Viljoen, a prominent star on The Real Housewives of Pretoria, addressed serious allegations against her in one of the episodes of RHUGT that aired in June.
In the episode, Mel confronted claims that she scammed fellow reality TV personality Happy “HerMajesty” Simelane R2.8 million. Mel defended herself against the accusations, insisting that the claims were false and baseless.
According to TV with Thinus, Happy claimed she paid R2.8 million in cash in July 2021 to become a franchisee for a Tammy Taylor Menlyn Maine store in Pretoria. However, she never received the keys to the store or access to the bank account. In response, Mel Viljoen from Tammy Taylor SA stated that all actions taken were following written agreements and that Simelane failed to honour her commitment, despite being given ample time to correct the breach.
On the other hand, HerMajesty responded to the Daily Sun about the allegations made by Mel, denying claims that she sued herself. She criticised Mel, questioning the logic behind suing oneself and expressing frustration over the perceived inefficacy of the justice system in handling such cases. Despite these challenges, HerMajesty is focused on her future plans, including opening her own beauty salon and franchise called HerMajesty Beauty. She aims to inspire others by demonstrating that it’s possible to overcome setbacks and achieve dreams.
“She went on and said I sued myself. Tell me who, in their right mind, sues themselves? She’s implying that I’m not normal upstairs or that I’m mentally disturbed. Why would I sue myself, where were my lawyers in the midst of this, who was helping me sue myself? I don’t know who’s crazy between me and her. But one day is one day, every dog has its day,” Happy told Daily Sun.
