Sithabile Zungu, more popularly known by her stage name Slenda da Dancing Dj, has opted for a solo career after the disbandment of her and former Generations: The Legacy actress Thuli Phongolo’s duo called 2Faced. The separation of the DJing duo comes less than a year after its formation.

The duo often faced criticism garnered towards their energy and chemistry on stage, leaving the crowd underwhelmed with their performances. Fortunately, they were able to block out the noise and focus on their craft.

According to Briefly, the separation of the two performers was due to a clash of the egos, where they were having arguments about who was bringing in the bigger crowd. They have since been playing separately at gigs.

Slenda spoke to TshisaLive, revealing her future plans and what her fans should be expecting from her. “I hardly plan because I play music from my heart, but I definitely will make them feel like they are in Durban. I am a dynamic and captivating performer. I’ve become a powerhouse entertainer, seamlessly blending my exceptional dancing skills with my talent for DJing,” she says.

She will be a headliner for “Lit Friday” at Cosmopolitan in Maboneng, Johannesburg.

Her high energy and unique style make her an exciting prospect as she brings a gqom sound that not many female DJs have tapped into yet. “As a DJ, my performances are an electrifying fusion of dance and music, creating an immersive experience that keeps audiences entertained,” she says.
