Award-winning singer Rethabile Khumalo is currently in hospital after being re-admitted recently.

Rethabile was rushed to hospital three weeks ago, after suffering from what her mother, Winnie Khumalo shared was poisoning by one of her friends. Giving a health update about her daughter soon after that, Winnie shared:

“They did three operations on her already, we hoping that @rethabile_rsa will soon recover but at the moment akukho kuhle (it doesn’t look good)… She has been on and off… When you pray, please include her in your prayers… Ubunzima bokuba umzali (hardships of being a parent).”

Mzansi was later happy to hear that the singer was out and recovering at home. The happiness was soon short-lived, as the Ntyilo Ntyilo hitmaker had to be rushed back to hospital again.

Sharing the re-admission news with her fans who had been praying for her recovery Rethabile wrote, “Please pray for me…I am back in hospital the pain is unbearable.”

While in hospital the singer recently went live on her Instagram to share an update on her health and urged her followers to support her new single Egalile.

Laying in a hospital bed with her family around her, the singer shared, “Hi guys, I’m still in hospital… I want to thank you guys for the prayers.”

Lifting her arm that has a drip on it, the singer added a bit of humour commenting, “I’m here, in drip land, I’m dripping.”

“I’m going to be out of hospital, you guys mustn’t worry,” added the singer. Responding to some of her live comments she said, “Yes I’m getting better, I’ll be strong again, slowly but surely.”

Her mother Winnie who was present at the hospital added her daughter was poisoned while working on a new song.
