Actress Itumeleng Bokaba famous for her portrayal of Mampho on eTV’s Rhythm City, recently expressed shock towards internet users who were surprised to see her sharing pictures of herself wearing sets of underwear on social media.

In an attempt to defend herself, Itumeleng took to her Instagram page to share a series of old pictures she had uploaded a while ago, explaining that she was surprised that the pictures would shock people and said she had posted similar pictures on Facebook before she became famous.

Her caption read, “Not you shocked as if this never happened, now I’m shocked at your shock. We are all just ‘shooking’, ya’ll weren’t paying attention that’s all. Last two frames were before Instagram existed. I was a Facebook baddie.”

Shocked users took to the comment section of the previous post to weigh in on the photographs.

One user asked: “Did someone hack your account?”

While another one came to the actress’ defence, writing: “No need to explain dear, people must just let you be.”

Speaking to Daily Sun, the thespian said she aimed to demonstrate her difference in weight, as she has been on a weight loss journey.

“As a child, I struggled with people’s opinions, which were often harmful. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to create a boundary where my opinion of myself outweighs others.

“I’ve been working on my body for years, both mentally and physically. I returned to the gym in October 2022,” she said.
