DBN Gogo collaborates with LeeMcKrazy and Tyler ICU on new banger ‘Balimele’

by Nomonde Simelane

Daughter of former South African minister in the presidency Jeff Radebe, DJ and producer Mandisa Radebe, professionally known as DBN Gogo has social media streets buzzing once more with a new release ‘Balimele’, featuring amapiano sensation LeeMcKrazy and Tyler ICU.

The producer is no stranger to making hits, with bangers such as ‘Khuza Gogo‘, ‘Jele’ and ‘Funk 55’ which was one of the songs of the summer with over 13 million streams on Spotify. Her latest offering has seen her working with MTV Europe Music Award nominee Tyler ICU, one of the hottest up-and-coming young amapiano vocalists Lee McKrazy, and more artists such as Khalil Harrison, Tumelo_za, Eltee and Ceeka RSA and judging solely on this lineup, the song is sure to be a hit.

The song is a blend of various South African sounds with hints of a kwaito sound, a powerful bass that captures the essence of DBN Gogo’s sound perfectly, with the vocals of Tyler ICU and LeeMcKrazy tying everything together. Of course, the famous ‘Ke LeMeke’ tagline comes just in time to build up anticipation for the beat drop.

Fans and listeners of amapiano have already started responding to the release of this project and it seems the future of amapiano is in safe hands as long as these artists are producing at such a level. “This is a killer track. Big up to DBN Gogo, Tyler ICU and Lee McKrazy for bringing this banger,” says one user in response to hearing ‘Balimele’.
