Scandal‘s production team has recently declared the statement made by DJ and former Scandal Actress, Nomvelo Makhanya on why the character she portrayed on the show, Lindiwe Ngema was written off the show, untrue. Nomvelo made a statement on the Access Genie Podcast with Ancillar Nombewu, on what was the reason for her leaving the show.

This follows after Nomvelo alleged in her interview with the podcast that her character was written off the show because she reported her director and floor manager for being drunk on set.

Disputing the claims, the production said their relationship with the actress was terminated on fairgrounds and that they were not aware of the accusations, according to Sunday World.

While on the podcast the thespian said, “I was written off a week and a half after I had reported them and I got called into the office. The news was delivered to me, and it was made to seem like I was the one with a problem; like I was the one with issues but I took it like a champ and held my head high,” she revealed.

Nomvelo added that her last months with the production were extremely tough.

“I stopped vlogging for my YouTube channel because I would be told that I’m wasting production’s time; and they claimed that they constantly had to wait for me, which was untrue. They found little things to make it seem like I was the problem,” said Nomvelo.

She also said that the people she had reported started speaking about her departure in the corridors. After being part of the show for 10 years, Nomvelo made her last appearance on Scandal in November 2022.
