Controversial Limpopo rapper Katlego Chauke, popularly known as Shebeshxt has been discharged from the hospital and is recovering at his home after his car accident.

The rapper had been involved in a tragic accident when his car collided with a truck and overturned, ending the life of his 9-year-old daughter, Onthatile Chuene.

According to TshisaLIVE, the Department of Transport and Community Safety spokesperson, Tidimalo Chuene stated that the cause of the accident between the two vehicles was under investigation and that all names involved would be publicised once investigations were over.

After the rapper’s accident, which led to him having to undergo surgery on his leg and shoulder, news publication, IOL reported that Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema provided finical assistance for the rapper to be transferred to a private hospital.

Speaking to Sunday World on the rapper’s progress since the accident, lawyer and family spokesperson Lot Ramusi said, “He is coming to terms with everything. He was obviously shaken by everything, but he is slowly coming to terms with the situation,” adding that, given that he was still in a state of recovery there was an uncertainty of him attending his court case for charges opened in 2022 where he allegedly stabbed a man.

As per reports by the above-mentioned source, Limpopo National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, stated that although the rapper was out on bail, he would be making his court appearance soon.

“The matter is set down for plea and trial on July 11 at Lebowakgomo Regional Court D,” she says.
