Actor Warren Masemola wins the second season of The Masked Singer SA as the Giraffe after competing against Miss SA 2020 winner, Shudufhadzo Musida.

The show is produced by media personality Anele Mdoda under her production company, Roses and Oaks. It aims to reveal celebrities as they compete to be crowned the ultimate winner. The show is hosted by comedian Mpho Popps and features panelists Somizi Mhlongo, Skumba Hlophe, and Sithelo Shozi.

Speaking to news publication, SowetanLive, Warren said, “I haven’t been on TV for over two years and I miss doing TV. This was another opportunity to do what I do best and enjoy the most which is entertaining the people,” adding, “Being on the show was a way for me to get in touch with my people and to give them love. SA recognises me because I’m real, up to the point where I don’t get to be called by my character name, I am called by my name and surname. It could be my flair or talent that I showcase on the screen.”

He also told the above-mentioned source that he understood what was required for him to do during the competition, adding, how he didn’t know the other contestants.

“I was very particular. From the choices of songs to the level of competitiveness, I had with the other masks, even though I didn’t know who they were. Everything was calculated and I made sure to characterise the Giraffe, to keep me going to the finale,” says Warren.

Taking to Instagram with the caption, “I had a blast, fun, time of my life on season 2 of Masked Singer SA…thanks to the detectives, studio audience and viewers at home for making Giraffe a winner. This is for my son, Mansa-Kgomo Masemola.”
