Big player buys big things – Mamelodi Sundowns football player, Thembinkosi Lorch has been catching lots of praise on social media, following recent images emerged showing the 30-year-old making a massive purchase.

Multiple posts circulating online showed the former Orlando Pirates making a potential future investment as it is reported that he has recently decided to purchase himself a truck. The news was shared by news and entertainment website MDN News who congratulated the soccer player on his massive purchase.

Despite it may be uncommon to see soccer players making these kinds of purchases, many took to the comment section to share their congratulatory messages.

Nice one lorch we are sick and tired to see our soccer players become poor after football

However, if there was one person who was going to give his opinion on the matter, it would be music mogul, Nota Baloyi.

Upon seeing the post Nota then took to his own timeline and disapproved of Thembinkosi’s claiming that making these kinds of purchases without a financial advisor could be Thembinkosi’s biggest downfall.

“Proof that he doesn’t have good advisors, Transnet is going to make business tough before he’s done paying for this truck… Kasi mentality is the enemy of generational wealth!”

While the rest of the internet took a swipe at Nota for his comments, he later also added some advice on what he believed could have been a better investment that would benefit his career after retirement.

“He could’ve bought a soccer team and used his brand to get it sponsors instead of going into a business he knows nothing about just because he can finance a truck… Monkey see monkey do doesn’t work in business. Stick to what you’re the best at, and your only competition is the past!”
