Mama Joy in cloud nine following Renaldo Gouws’ suspension

by Sergio Miller

Mzansi’s most popular sports fanatic Joy Chauke commonly known as Mama Joy says that she is ecstatic following the recent reports that the Democratic Alliance has suspended their MP Renaldo Gouws.

The vocal politician has been hot on the heels of Mama Joy after it was reported the Department of Sports, Arts, and Culture provided funds to ensure that the 50-year-old enjoyed a lavish lifestyle, while supporting South Africa’s national rugby team, the Springboks at the 2023 World Cup.

Renaldo, through AfriForm later launched an investigation and requested that the department provide a full disclosure of the expenses paid for, to ensure that Mama Joy lived comfortably on her trip.

Recently, Mama Joy shared a post highlighting that she wanted to attend the Olympics in Paris and that Renaldo would not stop her.

Meanwhile, to much of her delight, a clip from 2010 recently emerged in which the now 41-year-old Renaldo is seen making racist remarks about black people in South Africa. With continuous investigations ongoing, the Democratic Alliance has announced its decision to suspend Renaldo, resulting in happy cheers from Joy Chauke.

According to news and entertainment publication The South African, Mama Joy expressed how happy she was now that her biggest critic was exposed.

“Sorry to my number 1 Renaldo Gouws for being suspended. I am the happiest woman in the whole world. Guys, I told you. You cannot talk about Mama Joy and nothing happens, can you believe it?” she asked.

With the 2024 Paris Olympics taking place in a matter of weeks, it seems as though Mama Joy’s dreams might become a reality.

While Renaldo was one of many South Africans who again criticised her and the department for misusing taxpayer’s money, the DA leader John Steenhuisen has since supported the sports lover.
