A video of singer Thandeka Ngema famously known as Mawhoo stating what her monthly girlfriend allowance is valued at left internet users with so much to say.

Mawhoo attended the Red Bull Symphonic: Kabza De Small with Ofentse Pitse and the Symphonic Orchestra event held at Johannesburg’s Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef City recently.

The show which sold out five hours after the tickets went on sale, saw the whose-who in the entertainment industry and other fields gathering together for a night of symphonic infused amapiano sounds.

While at the parking lot on her arrival, Mawhoo who were a gorgeous bronze off-shoulder dress confidently stepped out. As she was coming out a voice said, “Awuu (yes) the face of girlfriend allowance.”

The singer responded confidently responded, “Yes, why not, R500 000 a month or more if you feel like it. It depends on how look.”

The video which shocked many was shared on X an app formerly known as Twitter by news medium MDN News.

After seeing the video, this is what internet users said:

It’s nice being a woman. U just demand 500k allowance just for having female reproductive organs that are the same as any other woman pic.twitter.com/Ft8pt18A3S

One user shared:

Unfortunately women who talk like this will always be in the market for a higher bidder, if someone can agree to give her 500k as a girlfriend allowance she’ll be with that person then if someone else comes and offers 700k she’ll definitely take that offer then someone else comes…

One user who understands that the singer lives by a certain standard commented:

Queen who knows her worth ?
