Former Miss South Africa and the Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) reality TV star Sorisha and her billionaire husband Vivian Reddy have always come through for their KZN communities when nature’s wrath affects them and their families.

The couple who can be counted among the elite in the province or mzansi are loved by many for their warmth and humility.

The KZN storm has demolished schools and people’s homes, in the process displacing over 1000 families in oThongathi, previously known as Tongaat. It also left many parts of the region without electricity as power lines got knocked out.

Taking time to visit one of the affected schools in oThongathi, a town about 40 kilometres north of Durban, Sorisha shared a video of the badly damaged school, captioning her post:

“Yesterday @vivian_reddy_official and I visited the Tongaat area, thank you to @yogasnair for taking us through to the schools and areas. There are many needs and wants, we will share proper details on how to facilitate and what is required, basic building materials as well as school stationary and uniforms will be required as children will need these after the holidays. Well done to the Tongaat community and everyone on the ground doing the most. Sibaya Community Trust will be assessing where best to start assisting in the next few weeks.”

Among those who commented on the reality TV star’s post was businesswoman and reality TV star Shauwn Mkhize who commented, “Aghh man this is sad thank you for showing up my sister and my brother from another mother.”

“Uncle Viv has a big heart. He could’ve sent people to assess the damage but he’s there in person, said one user.”

More users commented, “You both are so kind. We all could learn from you. Thank you for doing what you do. Many blessings to you both.”

One user thanked the couple for their support commenting, “Thank you Sorisha and your husband for the love and support you have for The Republic of South Africa. I wish your husband could be a president.”
