South African musician Thokozani Ndlovu popularly known as L’vovo Derrango is delighted to be able to record music after a hiatus due to recovering from stroke.

Speaking to TshisaLive, the artist said he is relieved to finally be able to record music in a studio.

“The feeling was great, doing what I love, which is music. It was an amazing feeling, hearing my voice still sounds the same. The music I’m doing will make sense to the people. I feel rejuvenated after what happened to me. The producer was lenient with me and we didn’t take a rush,” he said.

L’vovo promises to try and release a teaser before his first single which is set to be released in July, after his pause.

“It was good to be back again recording, though I wasn’t 100% fit, but knowing I can still do music is a blessing. I’m still taking it easy — the song I recorded is Aba Understandi, which will be my comeback single,” L’vovo said.

The artist told the above publication that he is grateful to God for giving him a second chance and his followers on social media who gave him strength that things will be all right.

He said recently when he was live on Instagram, people were happy to see him and that uplifted his spirit and assured him that he can still do this.

The kwaito star suffered a stroke during a performance in Ndwedwe, KwaZulu Natal in 2022 and was admitted in hospital for months. L’vovo’s speech was affected by the stroke, and he had a slight facial droop.
