The South African music icon Doc Shebeleza, real name Victor Bogopane is finding himself in good spirits, following a health scare that left him hospitalised on the weekend.

According to entertainment publication ZiMoja the veteran musician was rushed to hospital on Sunday after he reportedly became debilitated which caused serious concern.

The publication reported that the 51-year-old drove himself to a nearby hospital where doctors rushed to take multiple tests and examine his condition.

However, when the above-mentioned publication managed to interview the kwaito star, he appeared to be in good spirits following the ordeal.

Speaking on what took place he said:

“I didn’t feel well and had no energy. I went to the hospital, and they urgently admitted me.”

He explained that when doctors examined him, they informed him that his veins were not functioning properly, to which he responded by laughing.

Meanwhile, he is content with the idea that doctors know what they are doing and says that it will only be a matter of time before he gets discharged.

“I’m in good hands. The doctors are still running some tests. I hope and trust that I’ll be out soon. For now, I will take this time to try and relax.”

He told ZiMoja that he suspects that the reason for the sudden loss of energy was due to his body being overworked in recent weeks. Meanwhile, Doctors are expected to do some final tests to determine if it is anything serious.
