The South African theatre icon, Lebohang Morake popularly known as Lebo M is set to lose his luxury vehicle following a non-payment.

According to Sunday World, Lebo M who recently headlined the 30th anniversary of Lion King has refused to hand over his Mercedes-Benz, after failing to keep up with the monthly instalments.

The publication reported that the application for default judgement was submitted by Mercedes-Benz Financial services in the Johannesburg High Court against the celebrated composer recently.

In the application seen by the above publication, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services stated that it entered in an agreement with Lebo M on March 6, 2020 in Sandton, where they agreed to offer him a loan to buy a Mercedes-Benz A200 for the amount of R478 219.40.

It remains unknown if this is the same Mercedes he demanded from his estranged wife, Pretty Samuels amid their alleged fallout. Pretty confirmed to The South African that she was driving Lebo M’s Mercedes, however she was not aware of any summons.

“I am a wife, and we have cars. I was in a car accident about three weeks ago in the other car I drive, so I am driving the other Mercedes-Benz. I know that as a wife, I’ve got rights, and I haven’t received any summons or anything to return the car. I’m not sure why such things are going to the papers. My phone is always on,” Pretty said.

X (formerly Twitter users) weighed in upon hearing the news reported by MDN news:
