19-year-old Tiisetso Mashishi from Johannesburg is one of the finalists for the Miss Teen Grand South Africa title. She is passionate about educating on issues that are prevalent in young people’s lives and she aspires to be the beacon of hope to the young people of South Africa.

In an interview with the Good Things Guy online publication, Tiisetso said she is not waiting to win the title to start making a difference. She has already founded her own nonprofit organisation called All Eyes On You, which focuses on empowering and educating young people about mental health, academics, and women’s health issues.

The young girl told the publication that she has been working on her foundation for a while now. “It is a passion project that I would love to build and develop into something much bigger that creates an impact on a large scale. Mental health, education and women’s health have always been topics extremely close to my heart and I would love to use my skills and the platform that I have to make a difference and create a space where people, especially the youth, feel comfortable and safe and can gain the necessary skills they need to fulfil their dreams and become the best versions of themselves,” said Tiisetso.

She further mentioned that should she win the Miss Teen title, she would use her influence through social media to create a space where people throughout the country can come for support, and encouragement while finding comfort from her All Eyes On You foundation.

“My aim would be to become a friend, a sister and a mentor! Someone who provides inspiration and encouragement to everyone no matter where they come from or what they look like!” she said.
